I am a process led visual artist. My practice explores themes of time and place, transformation and narrative and manifests itself in sculpture, drawing and performance work. I am currently making multiple sculptural objects for temporary interventions into public spaces. I have a great interest in material, in particular paper. I am interested in the tactile and physical qualities of paper, the fact that a flat sheet of paper can easily be transformed into a sculptural form, and also the fact that everyone has seen and touched paper before and can therefore engage more easily with the work. After receiving funding through a NAN New Collaborations Bursary and also being commissioned to make an interactive performance piece for Light Night in Leeds with two other artists in 2008, I am increasingly interested in collaboration and socially engaged art practices.

I also devise and deliver workshops to schools and community groups, deliver community consultation projects and public art commissions. Click the links on the right to see images of my work and community projects.
